Ballet

The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is used to insure age-appropriate steps are taught at the proper level.  Each dancer is given caring and thoughtful instruction with the goal of instilling a love for dance and encouraging self-esteem and self- discipline, preparing students physically, intellectually and emotionally.  Classical terminology and correct technique are emphasized at our school.

·        Kinder-Ballet: age entering Kindergarten in 2010.  Includes Ballet and introduction to Tap & Jazz

·        Ballet 1: 1^st grade

·        Ballet 2/ 3:  2^nd & 3^rd grade and older beginners.

·        Ballet 4: previous experience required, teacher placement

·        Ballet 6 / Pre-Pointe: previous experience required, teacher placement

·        Intermediate & Advanced Ballet: 7th grade and older, teacher placement
More advanced steps and combinations are introduced and perfected, with a strong emphasis on technique and presentation.

·       Pointe & Pre-Pointe: Pointe age 12 and older, Pre-Pointe age 11.  Teacher placement, previous ballet training is necessary for these classes; see your teacher for more information.

·        Teen Ballet
